My Best Friend

This is a blog letting the world know about Felicia Hawkes, my best friend.

Above: Felicia and I in D.C. in front of The White House when she flew across the country to visit me during my nanny job in Maryland!

Felicia Hawkes is the kind of friend every person should wish they had. She is an absolute blast to hang out with, she loves to have fun! She is a good listener and pays attention to what you say and wants to know about what is going on in your life. She doesn't approve when you do something wrong, she tells you her opinion on the matter, but, she won't condemn you forever for making a mistake, she is a forgiver.
She loves her family and her friends, they are the most important things in the world to her. Isn't that how it should be?
She is NOT self righteous, just the right amount of righteous. She loves the Gospel. She is technologically savvy. She is beautiful, inside and out.

I've gone through quite a bit of crap these last few years, and Felicia has never abandoned me. She has never "ditched" me for a guy. She has always loved me, despite my many flaws and been my friend and given me advice, whether I ask for it, or not. :) She is honest.

Oh, and she believes in aliens.

Thank you for being there for me, even when I don't deserve such a great friend as you.

Love you Fefers!

Beautiful Fall

So, this fabulous Fall season has arrived, and I have never enjoyed the changing colors of the season more than I have here in Maryland. The insane amount of gorgeous green trees of Summer are now all differet shades of yellow, orange, red and brown and I feel truly blessed to have witnessed the change of season! The pictures posted are from the first weekend in November when Felicia Hawkes came to visit me for a few days! I loved having her here! It was nice to have a adult to talk to you that knows me and my history, and let's face it, just having an adult to talk to period feels like heaven when you are with a 2 and 4 year old all day! :-) The nanny gig is good over all, there are good days, and bad, just like anything else, and it is really getting me prepared to be a mommy whenever I allow myself to take the first step in that direction and decide to start dating again haha
Back to the pictures, the first two are just of our view from our dock, the second is actually hard to figure out that it is NOT upside down, but a reflection in the water. Next is Felicia and I at the National Museum of Natural History, followed by us again, at the FBI Headquarters! Yay! :-) and last but not least is the Washington DC Temple! Absolutely beautiful and prfect in every way! This was my first time seeing it that I can truly remember. I'll probably never forget it, a specific reason being because: while we were walking around the grounds I noticed a statue of a deer in the temple lawn and was just about to ask Felicia if it looked real to her to her as well when it jumped up and scared me out of my wits! I may or may not have yelled something tha may or may not have sounded similar to a "swear" word haha forgive me, I am easily frightened! :-) well, that about concludes our trip! Thanks for reading! Until next time... :-)

A lot like love

Hello World! I am back! Fear not!
I just wanted to make sure I had something interesting enough to say to you when I posted again. This post is regarding Love, or something a lot like it. Have you ever liked someone so much that it hurts? You think about that person all the time, constantly find yourself spacing out and daydreaming about them, and can't imagine having to live your life without that person. Now imagine that it is not possible to be with this person, and you are forced to move on. How do you do it? How do you let someone go that means so much to you? I've tried. I don't know how to do it. Anyone have any words of wisdom for me?
In the process of trying to get over of this person, I met someone in my ward here in Maryland. He was sweet. Always good to me. Asked before he kissed me the first time. Wanted to show me off in public. And I thought I liked him back. I tried to make myself like him because I thought he was such a great guy, and I think subconsciously so I could help myself get over this other guy. We dated for over a month before I realized that I needed to stop being selfish and quit leading myself and him to think I felt differently than I did. I told him how I felt last night and we broke up. I feel bad about it not working out. But now I am at a loss about how to start dating again. If I even want to. I'm not sure if I do.

OCEAN CITY!

Maryland. Glen Burnie, Maryland to be exact. How many of you had ever heard of GLEN BURNIE, MD before I just mentioned it? I'm guessing... none. Don't feel bad, I hadn't either, until I was offered a nanny job here about 3 months ago. I've been out here for about 2 and a half months, and... happy to say... I really like it out here! I've been holding back on making friends... Don't really know why... I'm think I'm just really attached to all of you back in Idaho... that I feel like I have enough friends and what's the point of going through the whole process of making more? haha I know, really bad attitude.... but I'm working on it. :) For the first month or so of being here I went to visit REALLY GOOD and REALLY OLD friends of the family every weekend. We are probably closer to them than we are to our actual family... which is sad... but kept me from being homesick. BONUS :) It was great fun, I spent lots of time there...and money that first month or so being back east. Its just nice to get a GOOD paycheck...and not have to pay anything but my phonebill. Seriously. No rent, no utilities, no food, no gas(generally)... It was awesome. Now I'm being more money concsious and planning my paychecks out... kinda boring, but it must be done to pay off debts, and save up if I ever wanna come home to visit! :) I've been working on finding myself over here. I've realized I'm unhappy with my appearance, so... I'm doing something about it. Hello Gold's Gym, tanning, whitening, and dying/highlighting hair. That may sound superficial, but I've never done any of that stuff before, and I'm not doing it to make myself look more visually appealing to others, but to myself. I want to be pleased with what I see in the mirror. That will be a solution to a good number of my problems. So, cross your fingers and wish me luck ! :) I've also decided that when I go back to school I will be doing something with Enviornment studies. I realized that everything I like is totally nerdy, but I like it... and that's all that matters in the end right? First English, then Computer Programming, and now.... Recycling? haha I know, I'm a real piece of work. OH! I've developed a new hobby, RECORDS. Like, vinyl records. I'm getting this freaking awesome record player/cd player/radio/mp3 player with this totally retro look, I'm stoked! I'll post pictures once I get it! I hope this was a good enough update for the last few months... maybe eventually I'll get around to updating everyone on why my page is called "Forever A Wanderer" and where I've been for the last year and a half haha
